its kinda blurry, but you can see the tree linb that broke off the tree in the neighbor’s yard. if you look close, you will see there are two feeder lines that run across their yard. the clearer one is mine. the branch fell in between them.
earlier today, when the storm rolled thru, i could see it from the waiting room window. i work on the eighth floor of a twelve story medical office building. the sky turned blacker than i have ever seen it during daylight hours. it looked like night. cars had their lights on. i never saw any lightning. the storm was tracking north east. soon enough the clouds began to split up, and a wall cloud was evident. it was very black, contrasted with a greenish greybeneathe and below, like a blanket suspended over our heads. and it was rippling and undulating as the opposing pressure pushed the bottom side of the wall cloud in an opposite westish direction. exceedingly dramatic.
then the dark began to subside, and the rain and hail swooshed in. outside it went from dark black to opaque whitish. the outside of out windows got very clean very fast.
as the rain passed thru, the clouds began to stratify, until the sky was streaked with grays, blacks, and bluish whites.
i had a blast watching my Father’s floor show.
ok FIRST, i wouldnt have driven ANTWHERE with this guy. i would have gotten out of the vehihicle.
‘well’, you say, ‘he had a gun’. so? if i go with the man in my car, im probably dead anyway. this woman is really lucky. if i run, i have a chance.
second, if for some reason i cant get out of the car, i wouldve wrecked the car LOOOONG before i got out of state. sheeeit, looong before i got one block.
never, and i mean NEVER, go with a car jacker or an abductor wannabe. if a man has a gun in my face, and he’s close anough to be in my face. i can knock the gun away from my face and run screaming. i can kick. i can hit. i have ELBOWS. right between the eyes.
i practice these things. i visualize them. i rehearse them in my mind, before they ever have a chance to happen.
and i drive wioth my car doors locked.
and i look behind my seat before i ever get into my car.
