well i guess its time to bring every one up to date. its only been, um. two weeks since the little microburst thingy…? eh heh heh. . .
ok, well we didnt really have any significant damage from it. out feeder line was pulled from the pole when the top half of the dead tree in the neighbor’s yard broke in half and fell, bringing down the lines. so it was easy to reattach. and since i called the power company so early, when the power was restored around three pm that day, the power to my house and the neighbor boy’s house was still off. there was a guy there to fix it around 5-6 pm, and we had power by 8ish i think.
the neighbor boy wasnt quite as blessed, although the protection on my house spills out on my neighbors. just a covenant thing. his line was ripped from the house end, pulling the box thing out from the wall, and pulling some wiring with it. he had to get an electrician out there to fix that first, before the power guy would touch it. still, no one was ever in danger of fire from live wire. my God is a good God, ya know.
so he had power the next day. the other trunk of that tree that had been dead for at least eight yrs is still standing.
butterscotch, the new mousie, is starting to be a little less freaked by us now. i can at least look at her without her running for cover. plus, little brownie is riding her around now and then, so i know she’s no baby any more.
finally got all the mountain of leaves and branches bagged up and out of the back yard. it was a joint manuever, and the beua bagged up 21 bags of stuff, and we have a tarp full of branch pieces too. but its out of the yard, and getting picked up 6-8 bags at a time by the refuse guys. i even planted new grass in the bare spot.oh, and we never saw so many worms. . . and happy birds. . .
the best news is my baby boy is coming home in a month and a half! im glad he wont be in that war zone any longer. i know he is safe, because i have God’s Word He will bring him home nothing missing, nothing broken. but i will just be glad when he is out of that stressfull place. i so feel for the innocents that live in places like that! i would go in their place, if i could . . .
so there you have it. all my little updates. otherwise just working and going about my business, getting closer to moving day – even tho i dont know what day that will be yet – when i go back to oregon to live by the sea. and getting to know my daughter in law a little more every week, as we chat on messenger. and just other stuff…
