yesterday morning we left around 530am so the beau could be at work at 6 (yawn). it was raining a little. when we were about half way there, we were covered in a downpour, with sheets of water engulfing the car. it was mostly over by the time we reached his work.
on the return trip i drove thru a different world. there were leaves like a blanket all over the road, with braches, trash, and garbage cans everywhere. and broken trees. and darkness.
i rounded the turn onto the street before my house, and had to drive over the lines of a downed street lamp. it wasnt live.
my house was among the many without electricity. the tree in the neighbor’s yard had broken, fallen, and torn the feeder lines from my house, their hous, and the lady’s on the other side.
but God was there. there was no power in the lines. mine was still attached to my house, and pulled from the source. the neighbor’s was pulled from the house and still attached to the mini transformer, and laying under the tree top.
by 3pm power was restored to my area. by evening, my line was reattached to the box, and the neighbor’s was disconnected and crimped off until further repairs could be made.
we had had a microburst.
