fire burns within the forest
green and cool
caught from sun’s most ardent rays
soaked in rain
stripped of pain
cast about through frond and frays
rain and sun mixed by the forest
soft and clear
then reflected for the dwellers
ambient light
green and bright
from the canopy to the cellers

moss and fern and leafy trees
catch the fire and and make it roar
green and pure
forsest’s lure
calling me to roam no more
