we saw the biggest rainbow on record today. it was about 4:45 or so, and we were on our way to pick up some movies for the rest of the weekend, when it started sprinkling. the sun was just above the point of no return. and -ahhhh- there it was! this huge, brilliant arc of colors reaching all the way from target to somewhere past sheridan avenue, and at least 150 bazillion stories high. thats taller than the williams buiding. but you wouldnt know that cuz you dont know how tall that building is. just take my word for it. a rainbow is really a raincircle, but you cant see the whole circle because the earth is in the way. but we could see at least somewhere between 2/3 and 3/4 of this one. and it had a semi rainbow echo on the outside for part of the time, and little stripes of red on the inside for part of the time. and it was still there when we left the video rental store to go eat thai food. that is a long time for a rainbow to last. and least ten minutes!
rainbows mean one thing to me. promises kept, by the One Who puts the rainbow in the sky in the first place. and this one was very !!!! if you know what i mean.
